See it in action by clicking here! M-169 is a custom designed and manufactured complete suppressed upper receiver system for the M16. The M-169 suppressed upper comes complete with:
Colt Only: Bolt carrier is ramped, two piece buffer, one Piece Magazine Adapter (allows the use of Colt 9mm magazines or modified Uzi magazines, with Colt 9mm magazines the bolt will lock open on the last round.) Available using Olympic Arms 9mm upper. No modifications are required to lower with an Olympic upper. The M-169 employs a carefully engineered bleed-off system which allows the use of normal, inexpensive ball 9mm ammunition-there is no need to use expensive "sub-sonic" 9mm ammunition to achieve suppressed performance from the M-169 since the bleed-off system automatically drops the velocity of the 115 grain 9mm ball ammunition to sub-sonic levels. The M-169 has been professionally dB tested by renowned suppressor analyst Matt Smith, using a B&K 2209 sound meter to test in accordance with industry-standard MIL-STD 1474C techniques and equipment, which yielded the following outstanding results: 115 grain factory ball ammunition - 130 dB (a 28 dB reduction), muzzle velocity 1044 fps - that is SUBSONIC!!! (For comparison purposes, a factory HK MP5SD has a 30dB of sound reduction yielding 907 fps. muzzle velocity, with 115gn ball ammunition.) The M-169 suppressor itself measures 13" long with a 1.5" diameter, and features a durable Moly Resin finish. The overall length of the suppressed weapon is 29.5" that is with a six position stock (for comparison it is a 1/2" shorter the a non-suppressed M16 with a M4 14.5" barrel with the six position stock)
