|
| A close up look of the muzzle reveals many details of the Street
Deuce. The bushingless bull barrel lock-up system is very clear. This
particular model also utilizes a Tijicon® Tritium front sight post as
well.
Also seen in this shot, is the end cap of the full length recoil
spring guide and the recessed target crown on the barrel. As you can
see, the barrel has traditional lands & grooves type rifling. This
is not however your standard pistol barrel.
All Safari Arms and SPW (Schuetzen Pistol Works) 1911's use one of
the worlds best barrels. Made from 416R stainless steel bar stock (not a
forging like some "custom" manufacturers use), the rifling in
these barrels is broach cut, then honed to a mirror finish on the lands.
These barrels are true National Match barrels and are recommended by
such renowned names as Wilson and others. Touted for their accuracy,
these barrels have been used as OEM (Original Equipments Manufacture)
barrels for such companies as Springfield Armory, Caspian, Wilson,
Volquartzen, EAA, and others. Those may be just five names, but they
speak volumes in the firearms industry. These NM barrels are then hand
fitted to each 1911 to ensure the absolute best fit possible, and the
best possible accuracy.

| From this angle, even more of the attention to detail taken during the
hand assembling of these pistols is seen.
Exceptional fit of the beavertail, mainspring housing, as well as the
slide to frame match is glaring. It is also easy to see some of the
"melted" look of the handgun when looking at the commander
hammer and thumb safety. The checkering of the (in this case) arched
mainspring housing is show as well, as is the relief of the memory
groove in the beavertail.
Perhaps the most obvious (as it should be) feature is the large,
serrated, fully adjustable rear sight. These serrations are continued
and matched with the rear of the slide itself to help in the reduction
of glare.
