Who made the lower receiver???

This is a common question that many ask.  You will also hear that company X's receiver is better than company Y's receiver.

Who do you believe?

Here is some information that will help you discard some of the, "Ours is better" chants and see the bigger picture.

An employee from a well known manufacturer wrote:

"Their are only a few companies in this country who actually make the forging for these rifles. All manufacturers buy raw forging from the same companies. The raised letters on the side of the receiver at the rear sight are forging markings, not manufacturer markings. These raises letters tell us (the manufacturers) which forging mold was used in case of any defects.

The difference comes when the manufacturer actually machines the raw forging to their tolerances & applies their finish..."

If you think only the lowers are being commonly made, you are wrong.  At last count I knew of 3 companies who make bolt & bolt carriers, Olympic being one of these companies.

All things being equal, which there is more than meets the eye, one should look at customer service and warranty (Olympic has a LIFETIME warranty!).
